Paul (Glasgow, UK)
After three years without any hint of a job offer, my situation was becoming desperate. Thanks to your web site, not long after registering with you I found a job in a company. I’m delighted to be back in the air again.
We fly to all sorts of interesting places in Europe (The French Riviera, Seville, Palma, Tunis and The Canary Iles) answering the requests of our passengers.
Thank you, I’m now awaiting my upgrade to captain.
Andy (London, UK)
I made my maiden flight with a young pilot who had advertised with Positive Climb. We shared the expenses for the flight and I was even able to bring a friend along.
After we were able to visit the hangars, full of beautiful aircraft, it was fascinating.
I’m going to repeat the experience soon with a flight instructor who has promised to give me flying lessons.
Mike (Dublin, Ireland)
I am a freelance pilot working for different companies. With the recession my log book is not filling up as quickly as before, but I am now finding very good opportunities with Positive Climb, the last one to date allowed me to fly from Oslo to Sidney, which was a real pleasure.
Tim (Chester, UK)
Thanks to Positive Climb, I was able to make my lifelong dream come true. A pilot was taking a Cessna Citation on a ferry flight for a private owner. He offered the right seat to the first enthusiast available to accompany him. It was me! These were the best three hours of my life

Why do I need to use your services to find a job ?
In the current employment climate, it has become difficult to find a first job without professionnal contacts. Even with this, bosses are careful when it comes to the expenses linked with the recruiting and training of pilots, equally to bring them to their bases, particually for temporary assignments.
With our formula we put a lot of importance into the geographical area and the adaptability of each pilot compared with the demand of our airline clients and the frequency of these demands.
You can, of course find your dream job without our help!
But, how do I go about it ?
We are only a contributary factor in your futute and luckily not the only one!
With your subscription, you will automatically benefit from Positive Climb’s internal answering service. Your e-mails will no longer land with the SPAMS and will no longer be lost in the mountain of other applications.
When can I hope to be contacted ?
You could be contacted in as quickly as a few seconds, a day, a week, a month or even a year, it all depends on your quailifications, profile, geographical location and of course the demand.
Whatever, you can always broaden your geographical location (see section “my profile”) with the risk of not having your transport expenses fully covered or only a small part of them paid by the flight organiser. Once again, it all depends on the client’s needs. If he needs you, he will do whatever is necessary to have you !
I will be in a foreign country for the next 6 months and will be available to fly in that country, how can I let you know ?
It is very important to keep your profile upto date. Each time you think it’s important to communicate something new, do not hesitate to go to the section “my profile” and add any information you wish to include.
Why is the subscription free for a flight organiser ?
Our website is free, for the simple reason that we want to encourage sponsors and organisers (airclubs, companies and private owners) to use Positive Climb as their main source of recruitment. This is in your best interest, because you are the first ones to benefit from this. On the other hand, a private pilot looking for a second pilot or an enthusiast to accompany him on a flight has no desire to pay anymore for this.
How many offers do you get for pilots, safety pilots or accompanying pilots a day ?
We get more than 20 requests per day for flights. This demand concerns more or less 25 registered candidates for every 100 candidates who correspond to the criterion of the client. This is only an average, as the number can vary depending on the season, day of the week, weather conditions etc...
40% of demand is not actually fulfilled. There are various reasons for this :
- We do not have the qualified pilots for the type of aircraft requested near the departure airport.
- We do not have candidates registered in the area near the flight departure and/or the safety pilot, or the accompanying person is too far away and his transport expenses aren’t covered because it’s a private pilot who has offered a place for a pleasure flight.
- We have the pilots qualified for the flight, but they aren’t available for the requested day.
- We have one or more qualified pilots but no-one has answered the offer of the flight.
How can I be interesting to someone if I have no experience in aeronautics or piloting ?- You can interest pilots even though you have little or no experience, because certain pilots don’t want to fly on their own for many different reasons.
- Some worry, that even though they have their licence, they don’t want to be accompanied by a more qualified pilot.
- Others just enjoy sharing their passion for flying.
- Some have been looking for a licenced pilot before you, but none were available or they were in the wrong geographical area.
- Finally, many young pilots on their professionnal course have to do a certain number of flying hours in the improvement period and are looking for people to give them this opportunity.
